One World Trade Center Transmission System
When the tragic 9/11 attacks destroyed the World Trade Center in New York, they also destroyed the TV transmission system for most New York City broadcasters. Fifteen years later, One World Trade Center has been rebuilt, and a new broadcast transmission system would be operational in May 2017.
The month before the system was turned on, at the National Association of Broadcasters show, I enabled Myat the opportunity to explain their part in this remarkable achievement by organizing two thought leadership events, and the release of a white paper.
Progress of Television Industry IP technology Implementation
The Grass Valley Group
In 2015, I was asked to create a study on the progress of IP technology implementation in the television industry. At the time there were no end-to-end IP facilities in this market, so I measured the progress of islands of IP technology. I created a survey that measured 25 technology islands, which drove a white paper, several trade magazine articles, and a webinar (which I hosted). The webinar and white paper broke records for registrations and downloads.
Security Industry Marketing Effectivness
Security Industry Association (SIA)
SIA wanted to help its members become better marketers. I conducted a survey that measured marketing effectiveness among top security industry suppliers, organized and hosted 5 webinars, and gave a live presentation at the ISC West trade show (the largest in the security industry), which is owned by SIA.
The Challenges of Mobile TV Production
We measured the problems mobile production units face in the field such as "what slows down set up the most?" Cameras. "What causes more problems when the control room goes live?" Audio.

This white paper offered unique insights into what sales strategy should be used, and not used, during a recession. It was downloaded at record rates, covered by most major business publications, and became a web video training series.
Soon after its release, it became the #1 most downloaded financial management white paper on ZDNet's worldwide network of websites for 6 months, leading 200 other white papers at the time. It was covered by Forbes, BusinessWeek, Entrepreneur, Inc., Fast Company, Sales & Marketing Management, Internet Week, Information Age, Sales Management 2.0, and Smart Biz.
Kraft Foods requested permission to use the findings for training of their sales directors in 64 countries and a series of sales training videos was developed.
National Public Radio Technology
At a time when NPR budgets were being strained, this study measured the potential that new technologies such as streaming and HD radio held for NPR stations.
This study was created as a service to APRE, the association of NPR engineers, and was first presented at the association's annual convention.
