Most salespeople have computers
Less than half have contact management software
(New York) Research from the newly released book "Selling 2.0" has discovered that most salespeople in America (86.1%) have a computer but that only about half have the software used to professionally manage contacts on an ongoing basis.
But many others are using computer technology for higher functions. Almost half use their laptops for sales presentations.

In addition, many others are networked into the home office for a variety of functions. About a third can enter orders directly into their system, and access a database of sales presentations. Only about one quarter of salespeople report having the ability to coordinate with internal sales support to provide better customers service.
